Refund & Credits Policy
Last updated: 2026-08-02
This policy explains what you are buying when you buy credits, how long credits last, and when money comes back. It forms part of our Terms of Service. We have written it plainly on purpose — if any of it is a surprise at the moment you want a refund, we have failed.
The short version
- Credits are prepaid and are spent the moment a generation starts.
- Spent credits are not refundable, in money or otherwise.
- If a generation fails on our side, its credits come back to your balance automatically — you do not need to ask.
- Subscription credits expire at the end of the paid period. Top-up credits expire 90 days after purchase.
- Unused credits can be refunded within 14 days of purchase, provided none of that purchase has been spent.
- Your statutory consumer rights always come first, whatever this page says.
1. What a credit is
A credit is a prepaid unit of account that meters generation capacity. It is not money, has no cash value, cannot be transferred to another account, and is not redeemable for cash except where the law requires it.
Every generation has a credit price shown to you before you confirm it. Credits are deducted when the generation is submitted, because that is the moment we pay the AI provider for the compute — not when you watch or download the result.
2. When credits expire
Credits come in two classes with different lifetimes:
- Subscription credits are allocated at the start of each paid period and are valid until the end of that period. They do not roll over: any unused balance expires when the period ends or renews.
- Top-up credits — including the promotional activation purchase — expire 90 days after the date of purchase.
When you generate, expiring subscription credits are spent first, then top-up credits in order of expiry, so the credits closest to expiring are always used first.
Expiry dates are shown on your balance in the account, in the checkout before you pay, and in the email receipt. We email a reminder seven days before a batch of credits expires. Expired credits are not restored and are not refunded.
3. Failed generations
If a generation fails for a reason on our side — a provider error, a timeout, an internal fault — the credits charged for it are returned to your balance automatically. This is built into the system, not a goodwill gesture, and you do not need to contact us for it.
If a submission is refused by a model provider's content filter before generation runs, no credits are spent at all.
A generation that completes but that you are unhappy with — the face is not as close as you hoped, the motion is off, the result is not what you pictured — has been delivered, and its credits are not returned. Generative models are probabilistic; we cannot promise a specific outcome, and we say so before you spend. If a result looks broken rather than merely disappointing, write to us and we will look at it.
4. When we do refund money
We refund a purchase in money in these cases:
- Unused purchase, within 14 days. If you bought credits within the last 14 days and none of the credits from that purchase have been spent, we refund it in full on request.
- Duplicate or erroneous charges. Charged twice, or charged after cancelling? We refund it, no questions.
- Service failure we cannot fix. If the Service is unusable for an extended period for reasons on our side and credit compensation does not make it right, we refund the affected purchase.
- Where the law requires it. See section 6.
Refunds go back to the original payment method, usually within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
5. When we do not refund
- Credits that have been spent on generations that were delivered.
- Credits that expired unused, whether subscription or top-up.
- The remaining part of a subscription period after you cancel — cancelling stops the next renewal, it does not refund the current period.
- Dissatisfaction with the creative quality of a delivered generation (see section 3).
- Accounts terminated for a breach of the Terms of Service, except to the extent applicable law requires a refund of purchased credits.
6. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law where you live.
If you are a consumer in the EEA or the United Kingdom, you would normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase of digital content. Because credits and generated videos are delivered immediately, we ask you — before we deliver anything — to expressly request immediate performance and to acknowledge that you thereby lose that withdrawal right. We log that confirmation with the document version, timestamp, and IP address, and repeat it in your receipt. If you withdraw after performance began at your request, you remain liable for the part already provided, including credits already spent. Unspent credits from that purchase are still refundable under section 4.
7. Payment disputes
Please contact us before contacting your bank. Nearly every billing question is resolved the same day, and a chargeback on delivered digital goods costs both of us more than the transaction was worth.
If a dispute is opened, we respond with our delivery records: the logged acceptance of this policy with its version, timestamp, and IP address; the full credit ledger for the account; and the URLs of the videos delivered. Opening a dispute for credits that were delivered and spent, without contacting us first, is a breach of the Terms of Service and may lead to account suspension. This does not apply where you are exercising a right the law gives you.
8. How to request a refund
Email billing@autohustle.me from the address on your account, with the date and amount of the charge. We answer within two business days.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy; each version carries the date above. A material change requires your acceptance before your next generation, and that acceptance is recorded. The version in force for a purchase is the one you accepted at the time of that purchase.
