Upload the photo
One image, as sharp and well-lit as you can manage, with the face clearly visible and facing the camera. Resolution matters more than styling — a crisp phone snapshot beats a soft studio portrait.
Add audio, or don't
Attach a voice track and the animation is driven by it, so the lips match what is being said. Leave it out and you get motion without speech. You can also write a short prompt describing what should happen in the shot.
Get the clip
Five seconds is the default length and you can go longer. The result arrives as a vertical MP4 in your Library, ready to post or to drop into a longer edit.

Priced by the second
The tool quotes the credit cost before you run it — 4 credits per second of video at 720p on the default model. A five-second clip is 20 credits, which is exactly what the $0.99 first-video unlock grants you.
Lip-sync comes from your audio
There is no text-to-speech step you have to fight with: you bring the audio you want and the mouth follows it, so the voice is whatever you recorded or generated elsewhere.
The photo does the heavy lifting
Most disappointing results trace back to the input — a blurry, tiny, heavily filtered or three-quarter-angle photo gives the model less to work with. Swapping the source image fixes more problems than any prompt.
It is one of several tools
If what you actually want is yourself inside a described scene, or the same photo carrying a whole Reel, those are different tools in the same Studio and the Director will point you at the right one.
